Yuvan joins hands with Karthi and Rajesh

Karthi’s forthcoming film All In All Azhagu Raja will have music done by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film will be directed by SMS and Boss Engira Baskaran fame Rajesh, who has recently made Oru Kal Oru Kannadi with Udhayanidhi Stalin in lead.

Yuvan has done three films films with Karthi, namely Paruthiveeran, Paiyya, and Naan Mahaan Alla. All the three albums were chartbusters. With Rajesh, Yuvan worked on SMS and Boss Engira Baskaran which were again super hits. Though Harris did the music for OKOK Rajesh has joined hands with Yuvan again for his next project All In All Azhagu Raja.

Both the combinations have proved to be great entertainers. Now it’s time to see what happens when all the three come together.

Karthi’s Alex Pandian in Meenambakkam

Alex Pandian is the latest film of Karthi post Saguni, Suraaj is donning the directors cap for this movie presently rolling in Meenambakkam.

Karthi is donning the lead role in Alex Pandian that casts Anushka in the female lead, while Santhanam, Nikhita and Sanusha will be seen in the pivotal roles. Alex Pandian also casts top model Milind Sonam of Pacchaikili Muthucharam fame and Superstar Rajinikanth’s Shivaji baddie Suman as main villains.

K.E.Gnanavel Raja will be producing Alex Pandian under his Studio Green Films that has music being scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Karthi, who is waiting to watch Praneetha debuting Saguni on big screens, is shooting for his forthcoming Alex Pandian in Meenambakkam village.

Vijay croons again

Actor Vijay is known not only for his acting and dancing skills but also for his vocal prowess. However, his fans were a bit disappointed that their Ilayathalapathy has not been singing of late. But, here is good news for them.

Vijay, who is doing the role of an encounter specialist in his upcoming film Thuppakki has lent his voice for a song. The music for the film is by Harris Jayaraj and the ace music director has updated on a micro blogging site. “Jus tried actor Vijay to sing a party track for "Thuppakki" in Mumbai, and he came up with flying colours...”

The song was recorded in Mumbai and sources say that director of the film, Murugadoss was in the studio along with Harris at the time of recording. They add that the director was so overwhelmed that once Vijay completed the singing he went and hugged the actor tightly.

Suriya and Karthi to team up

Popular actors and sons of veteran actor Sivakumar, Suriya and Karthi will jointly release the audio and trailer of the film Oru Kal Oru Kannadi on March 5. 


The film, a romantic comedy is written and directed by M Rajesh.


 Named after a song from Rajesh’s debut film Siva Manasula Sakthi, the film marks the entry of Udhayanidhi Stalin as a hero. 


Harris Jayaraj has scored the music for the film. 


Hansika Motwani acts as Udhayanidhi's love interest in the film.




 Actor Santhanam is playing a crucial role in the movie.  




Udhayanidhi’s home production Red Giant movies is producing the rom-com and it’s heard that actor Arya, actress Sneha and actress and singer Andrea are making guest appearances in the film.

Harris opts Vijay to croon a song for Thuppakki

Till now Kollywood audiences have seen action, family and entertaining performances of Vijay, now we can also hear song crooned by him. The ace music director Harris Jayraj has roped in Ilayathalapathy Vijay to sing a song in their upcoming flick Thuppakki.

Vijay and Kajal Agarwal starring Thuppakki directed by Murugadoss is shooting in fast pace in Mumbai, Harris Jayraj is composing music for this film. The Nanban composer says, “Once after I scored the tunes for this party song, felt Vijay’s vocals would suit the track best and told him about it and he was very excited about this.”

Kalaipuli S Thanu is producing this action entertainer that will be distributed by Gemini Film Circuit. Thuppakki has cinematography by Santosh Sivan, dialogues being penned by Jayamohan and editing is by A.Sreekar Prasad.

ENCOUNTER SPECIALIST VIJAY

It is said that Vijay plays an encounter specialist in Thuppaki. Though there were reports earlier that he plays a cop now a clearer picture has emerged. Sources say that Vijay’s role as an encounter specialist is sure to fetch him a good name.

Director AR Murugadoss has sketched this role in such a manner that Vijay’s performance will be outstanding, say sources close to the Thuppaki unit. The shooting of Thuppaki is currently on hold following the FEFSI strike. It will resume once the strike is wrapped up, say sources.

VIJAY WANTS TO BE DIRECTED BY SANTOSH SIVAN

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is so captivated be ace cinematographer Santosh Sovan’s deft handling of the camera that has decided to allot his call sheet for him. The star also liked Santosh Sivan’s direction in Urumi and all this has pushed him to offer his call sheet.

Apparently, Santosh and Vijay had a discussion on the sets of Thuppaki over this project. It is said that an official announcement form Vijay or Santosh Sivan may come even before Thuppaki’s shooting is wrapped up.
